document only has the content you want to count. If it
doesn't, then follow the instructions above to copy the
content into a new document.
-
Select the menu item FILE
and then PROPERTIES.
-
Click on the tab at the top
called STATISTICS.
-
In the Statistics area you
will see a count of the words and characters.

Cutting and Pasting
into Your Story Form
The easiest way to fill in the Your
Story form is to start with Microsoft Word or some other word
processing tool. Get your sections, High Concept, Characters
and Summary, all ready to go. (it's easier to put each section in
it's own document) When you have checked your spelling and
have the content just the way you want it, follow these steps.
-
Select the section you want
to copy into the form. Do this by clicking and holding
down the mouse button at the place you want to start your
selection. Now continue holding the button down while
you drag it over the text you want to copy. The text
will be highlighted. Let the mouse button up when you
are done selecting.
-
Select the menu item EDIT
and then COPY.
-
Switch over to the Outline
form.
-
Click inside the box you
want to paste into.
-
Select the menu item EDIT
and then PASTE.
-
That's it. It should
be there.
